Position: Vice Chair, Student Activities, Web Master Allison Gehrke is a PhD student in Computational Biology in Computer Science at the University of Colorado and Health Sciences Center under the advise of Dr. Krys Cios. Her research interests are in the development and application of data mining techniques for proteomics. Allison is studying how living organisms solve problems in order to apply those principles in computational methods to solve biomedical problems. In parallel, she wants to use computational methods to solve biological problems. Allison wants to apply smart engineering solutions (biomimetic systems) that can eventually be transferred into engineering practice. |
