Position: Vice Chair, Educational Activities Dr. Ann L Scherzinger is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado at School of Medicine. Dr. Scherzinger serves as Chief of Radiological Sciences in the Department of Radiology and as a Medical Physicist in PACS, CT and Ultrasound at University of Colorado Hospital. She is an Imaging Consultant to the School of Medicine Medical Student Curriculum Committee and serves as an instructor in imaging for medical students, graduate students and technologists at the University of Colorado. She is also a faculty member of the Center for Human Simulation laboratory. Dr. Scherzinger's primary research interest lies in CT, MRI and US imaging of body composition as it relates to nutrition, metabolic syndrome and heart disease. She serves as the director of the image reading center for a number of NIH funded epidemiological studies, including WISH, IRAS, DPP and HABC. Dr Scherzinger has also received funding from the NLM and NSF for educational projects involving the Visible Human Datasets. Her publications include over 40 journal articles, 7 book chapters, 22 abstracts and 44 presentations at scientific meetings. Dr Scherzinger received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of the IEEE, AAPM, SPIE and SCAR. She is a member of the SCAR PACS Administration Education Committee. |
